Saturday, October 10th, 10 AM, Four Corners. SPECIAL EVENT! Animas-La Plata Project Tour, meet at Centennial Shopping Center on La Posta Road/Frontage Road off US 550/US 160 South/South Camino del Rio at the coffee kiosk facing the frontage Rd. After the tour we’ll decide if we want to have lunch and where. Let Lisa know by October 2nd if you’d like to come. This is a FREE tour and will include a visit to the overlook of the intake from the Animas River, viewing the inside of the pump house, a stop at the inflow at the Nighthorse reservoir, a stop at the boat ramp, a tour of the dam itself. The Project Manager, Dave Gates, will lead the tour and give very good descriptions of the project. We will travel in SUVs and will be getting out 4 times. There will be walking and stair climbing. DATE CHANGE! Grumpy Hour with Gary Nordell at Stoneface Tavern on San Pedro just north of Paseo del Norte. Draft beers are $2.50 and the wings and quesadillas are pretty good. Gary requests that you wear something yellow to identify yourself. We’re usually at the double table to the left when you come in. We often talk politics, so beware.
Saturday, October 17th, 9:30 AM, Albuquerque. NATIONAL MENSA TESTING DAY. Mensa tests will be given in room 2504, Bratton Hall, University of New Mexico School of law.
